- Roraima tepui frog (Oreophrynella) — pin-head tiny, completely black, found ONLY on Roraima summit
- Hummingbirds — multiple endemic species near the summit
- Tarantulas at lower elevations
- Pebble toad (Oreophrynella nigra) — rolls itself into a ball and bounces down rocks when threatened
- White-tailed sabrewing hummingbird (endemic to the tepuis)
- Spectacled bear (extremely rare sighting at lower forest)
- Tepui swift (only nests on tepui cliffs)
- Capybara in the savanna approach (day 1)
- Cock-of-the-rock in the forested ramp ascent
- Carnivorous plants — sundews (Drosera) and bromeliads with insect-trapping wells on the summit
- Tepui-endemic orchids (multiple species)
- Anteaters in the savanna (rare)
Side quests & extras
- El Foso (The Pit) — a natural well in Roraima's summit you can rappel into (advanced)
- Punto Triple — the geographic point where Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana borders meet (on the summit)
- The Jacuzzis — natural crystalline pools on the summit you can swim in
- El Valle de los Cristales — crystal valley with quartz formations (sacred to Pemón, photos only, no removal)
- El Maverick — viewpoint over the southern face into Brazil
- Lake Gladys — small summit lake named for an early explorer
- Quebrada de Jaspe (Jasper Creek) — visit on the way back to Santa Elena, a creek that flows over solid red jasper bedrock
- Salto Aponwao — accessible side trip near the trailhead area
